You can cancel at any time without penalty.

For customers with long-term contracts that include other J:COM services, individual contract terms will apply.

Is there a cost to change the contract type or amperage?

The contract type and contract capacity can be changed. A fee of 3,300 yen (including tax) may be charged for changes.

◇About cost
If the amperage/capacity increases: free of charge
If the amperage/capacity decreases: 3,300 yen (tax included) if less than 1 year has passed since the day electricity was opened, or the date of plan change/amperage change/capacity change; free if more than 1 year has passed.

If you request a change to your contract current or contract capacity within one month of the start date of J:COM Power service, there will be no charge.

◇About change construction
J:COM will accept changes to the contract type and contract capacity and will ask for the desired date for construction, and the general power transmission and distribution company will carry out the construction. If the location of the distribution board or lead-in line is changed due to construction work that changes the contract type or contract capacity, you will be required to pay the amount billed by the general power transmission and distribution company separately.

Is construction necessary to change the contract type/plan?

It depends on the power company in your area.

■ Tokyo Electric Power, Kyushu Electric Power, Tohoku Electric Power, and Hokkaido Electric Power Area
construction work is required.
We will replace the ampere breaker (or limiter or contract safety breaker) installed in your home.
If necessary, such as installation or removal of the main switch, the customer will be required to perform construction work.

■ Kansai Electric Power and Chugoku Electric Power Areas
Since there is no ampere breaker installed, construction work by general power transmission and distribution companies is not required.
If you need to install or remove the main switch, you will need to make arrangements with an electrical contractor yourself.
