- Customers who currently have a contract with Hokkaido Electric Power Company other than the metered electricity plan B or C cannot apply for the Basic Plan because it would increase their electricity bill. They can only apply for the Green Plan.
- Customers who currently have a contract with Chugoku Electric Power other than the metered electricity A or B plan cannot apply for the Basic Plan because it would increase their electricity bill. They can only apply for the Green Plan.
- Customers who currently have a contract with Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. cannot apply for the Basic Plan because their fuel cost adjustment amount and other charges will exceed those of Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., which would result in an increase in their electricity bills. They can only apply for the Green Plan.
- Customers with metered lighting B or C whose current contract is Kyushu Electric Power cannot apply for the basic menu, as the fuel cost adjustment amount will exceed Kyushu Electric Power, resulting in an increased burden on electricity bills. You can only apply for the green menu.

You can use it to pay your monthly usage fee. J:COM Electricity/ J:COM DENRYOKU Contract Notice
- To sign a contract, you will need to switch your contract from another retail electricity provider to J:COM.
- It may take several weeks to switch.
- It may be necessary to replace the outdoor meter (watt-hour meter) (free of charge).
- Depending on the area where the customer lives, the current contract plan or electrical equipment, the plan you can subscribe to will differ. Please check this website for details.
- If you live outside the Hokkaido area and subscribe after April 4, 2024, you will be eligible for "J:COM Denki." If you subscribed before April 4, 2024, or if you live in the Hokkaido area, you will be subscribed to "J:COM Electric Power."

- Even if you do not use electricity, the basic charge or minimum charge will still apply.

- This service uses the power transmission and distribution lines of general power transmission and distribution companies, so in the event of unavoidable circumstances such as nearby power outages or other natural disasters, power outages will also occur.
- J:COM Denki service area is the area under the jurisdiction of Tohoku Electric Power, Tokyo Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, and Kyushu Electric Power (excluding some remote islands).
- Depending on your area of residence and current contract details, you may not be able to switch to or continue using this service.

We will notify you of the start date (switching date) of this service at a later date. 2.If this service has already been provided to the customer, the cost of canceling this service will be borne by our company.

- What do I need when I apply?

- Switching company name: Name of retail electricity company under contract
- Current contract type: contract type/plan name in use
- Subscriber name
- Switching operator customer number: Customer number of the retail electricity company you are contracted with
- Supply point identification number: A number that identifies the electricity supply point (22 digits)

There are no initial costs such as fees or construction costs associated with subscribing to "J:COM Denki/ J:COM DENRYOKU."
If you live outside the Hokkaido area and subscribe after April 4, 2024, you will be eligible for "J:COM Denki." If you subscribed before April 4, 2024, or if you live in the Hokkaido area, you will be subscribed to "J:COM Electric Power."
- Are there any restrictions on the contract period? Will I be charged a penalty for canceling the contract?

There are no restrictions on the contract period.
You can cancel at any time without penalty.For customers with long-term contracts that include other J:COM services, individual contract terms will apply.
- Is "J:COM Denki/ J:COM DENRYOKU" eligible for discounts under government subsidies?

"J:COM Denki/ J:COM DENRYOKU" is eligible for the government's "Measures to Mitigate Sudden Changes in Electricity and Gas Prices" and "Emergency Support to Survive Extreme Heat Waves."
The "Measures to Mitigate Sudden Changes in Electricity and Gas Prices" ended with the discount on electricity bills for May 2024 (meter reading in June 2024, billing in July 2024), but the "Emergency Support to Survive the Heat Wave" will apply discounts from August 2024 (meter reading in September 2024, billing in October 2024).
