日本語での通話はこちらMechanism of net zero CO2 emissions *1
At J:COM, you can use "virtually renewable energy."
This is achieved by adding "environmental value".
This refers to electricity that has environmental value (= electricity that does not substantially emit CO2).

Power configuration
Power source mix/Non-fossil certificate
Usage (green menu)
(Inner circle: power source composition / Outer circle: non-fossil certificate)
The power source for this menu is shown in the diagram below.
We have achieved virtually 100% renewable electricity procurement.
The planned CO2 emission factor (adjusted emission factor) in this menu is 0.000kg-CO2/kWh.
Actual value for fiscal year 2022
(April 1, 2022 - March 31, 2023) ※Four
- Part of the cost of procuring this electricity is covered by a levy on renewable energy collected from all electricity users, including those who are not our customers, and the CO2 emissions of this electricity are treated as having the national average CO2 emissions of electricity, including thermal power generation.
- This electricity includes hydropower, thermal power, nuclear power, FIT electricity, renewable energy, etc.
- Imbalance replenishment from former general electric utilities and some of the electricity procured from other companies whose power plant cannot be specified are treated as "Others."
- Totals may not add up to 100% due to rounding.
- This breakdown has been created based on the "Guidelines for Electricity Retail Business" (established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in January 2016 and revised in April 2023).
- Depending on the situation of the non-fossil value trading market, it may not be possible to achieve "substantially 100% renewable energy" and "substantially zero CO2 emissions."
Planned value for fiscal 2024
(April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025) *1
- Nationwide
*Excluding Hokkaido, Chubu, Hokuriku, Shikoku, and Okinawa Electric Power areas - Hokkaido Electric Power Area
Tohoku, Tokyo, Kansai, Chugoku, and Kyushu Electric Power Area

- This electricity includes solar, wind, geothermal, bio, and hydro (less than 30,000 kW).
- Part of the cost for Sumitomo Corporation to procure this electricity is covered by renewable energy levies collected from electricity users, including those who are not our customers. The CO2 emissions of this electricity are treated as having the national average CO2 emissions from electricity generated by thermal power plants, etc.
- This electricity includes hydropower, thermal power, nuclear power, FIT electricity, renewable energy, etc.
- Imbalance replenishment from former general electric utilities and some of the electricity procured from other companies whose power plant cannot be specified are treated as "Others."
- The scope of application of the planned values for power source composition is the supply facilities maintained and operated by Tohoku Electric Power Network Co., Ltd., TEPCO Power Grid Co., Ltd., Kansai Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Co., Ltd., Chugoku Electric Power Network Co., Ltd., and Kyushu Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Co., Ltd. A transmission and distribution area that supplies electricity through.
Hokkaido Electric Power Area
- Totals may not add up to 100% due to rounding.
- This electricity does not include pumped water.
- Part of the cost of procuring this electricity is covered by a levy on renewable energy collected from all electricity users, including those who are not our customers, and the CO2 emissions of this electricity are treated as having the national average CO2 emissions of electricity, including thermal power generation.

- What kind of price menu is the green menu?
-
This is a menu that uses non-fossil certificates designated as renewable energy to achieve 100% renewable energy and virtually zero CO2 emissions. However, depending on the procurement status of non-fossil certificates, it may be the case that non-fossil certificates that are not designated as renewable energy are used, the usage of non-fossil certificates is not 100%, and the carbon dioxide emission coefficient is not virtually zero.
- What is the difference between the price of the green menu and the basic menu?
-
・Tohoku Electric Power, Tokyo Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, Kyushu Electric Power area
"J:COM Denki/ J:COM DENRYOKU"

If the amperage/capacity increases: free of charge
If the amperage/capacity decreases: 3,300 yen (tax included) if less than 1 year has passed since the day electricity was opened, or the date of plan change/amperage change/capacity change; free if more than 1 year has passed.- If you request a change in the contracted current or contracted capacity within one month from the start date J:COM DENRYOKU service, it will be free of charge.
◇About change construction
J:COM will accept changes to the contract type and contract capacity and will ask for the desired date for construction, and the general power transmission and distribution company will carry out the construction. If the location of the distribution board or lead-in line is changed due to construction work that changes the contract type or contract capacity, you will be required to pay the amount billed by the general power transmission and distribution company separately. - Is the green menu eligible for subsidies for electric vehicles?
-
・Tohoku Electric Power, Tokyo Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, Kyushu Electric Power areas
For information on subsidy requirements, please contact the local government or organization providing the subsidized project.

Please note that J:COM Denki (available from May 15, 2025) is not listed in the Ministry of the Environment's "100% Renewable Energy Electricity Menu." - If you switch to the green menu, won't power outages become easier?
-
Since the same power transmission and distribution equipment (wires, substations, indoor wiring, etc.) will be used as before, the stability and safety of electricity will remain the same.
- Do you have a menu for all-electric homes?
-
We are not currently accepting new applications.
New applications will only be accepted for rate plans equivalent to metered electricity.・Tohoku Electric Power, Tokyo Electric Power, Kansai Electric Power, Chugoku Electric Power, Kyushu Electric Power areas
The Green Menu for all-electric homes can be subscribed to by changing plans only if you are currently subscribed to the all-electric home plan of J:COM DENRYOKU Home Course Basic Menu.- The plans you can subscribe to vary depending on the contract type.
- Is the fuel cost adjustment system applied to the green menu?
-
Applies.
This is because the electricity itself sent to customers who are subscribing to a 100% renewable energy electricity menu includes electricity generated using fossil power sources. - Is the green menu subject to the renewable energy generation promotion levy?
-
Applies.
This is because electricity is charged at a uniform rate nationwide based on the Act on Special Measures Concerning Renewable Energy, and is borne by all electricity users.
- By using non-fossil certificates designated as renewable energy for electricity that includes thermal power, FIT electricity, renewable energy, etc. procured from retail electricity companies that we are affiliated with, we can effectively generate 100% renewable energy. Achieved zero CO2 emissions.
- Former general electric utility company.
-
Tokyo, Tohoku, Kansai, Chugoku, and Kyushu Electric Power Area
Unlike the former general electric utilities, there is no cap on fuel cost adjustment amounts. Depending on fluctuations in fuel cost adjustment amounts and future rate changes, prices may be more expensive than those of former general electric utilities. Discount campaigns and direct debit discounts offered by the former general electric utilities cannot be applied.
Hokkaido Electric Power Area
The fuel cost adjustment amount is calculated using the same formula as Hokkaido Electric Power Company's standard electrical terms and conditions. Since there is no upper limit on the fuel cost adjustment amount, depending on the application of the fuel cost adjustment amount, it may be more expensive than Hokkaido Electric Power Company's metered electricity plan. Hokkaido Electric Power's discount campaigns and the like cannot be applied.
This rate combines Hokkaido Electric Power's pay-as-you-go electricity plan with the Carbon F plan (a plan offered by Hokkaido Electric Power that has virtually zero CO2 emissions). - It may be necessary to replace the outdoor meter (electricity meter) (free of charge).
- If you live outside the Hokkaido area and subscribe after April 4, 2024, you will be eligible for "J:COM Denki." If you subscribed before April 4, 2024, or if you live in the Hokkaido area, you will be subscribed to "J:COM DENRYOKU."
