The useful life of a security camera is generally said to be six years. However, the useful life of a security camera is not determined by the manufacturer's warranty period or lifespan, but by the years it is depreciated as an asset.

The app can only be downloaded within Japan.
To view the camera, you will need a smartphone and the installation of the J:COM HOME app (free). Cannot be viewed on PC or tablet devices. The videos that can be viewed are live videos and past videos recorded on the SD card. However, if you set SD card recording and there is not enough space, the oldest recordings will be erased and new ones will overwrite them.
When there is no light source at all, the image is monochrome with infrared illumination.
There may be a fee.

To watch the full HD quality, you need a smartphone that supports full HD. If the number of pixels on the display screen is small, the image will be automatically reduced.

Basic construction cost: 10,780 yen (tax included)/unit. Additional costs may occur depending on the building structure and work content. Additionally, the customer is responsible for the electricity charges incurred to operate this service.
After completing the contract procedure, it may take several months before you can start using the service.
Regardless of whether the operation of this service is normal or abnormal, J:COM is not responsible for any damage caused in the event of a crime or accident.

[Installed equipment]

Viewer app: Using the "J:COM HOME app" provided by our company, you can view live broadcasts and past recordings saved on an SD card via the network. *To use this app, you must install J:COM HOME app, have a compatible device (Android 14.0 or later or iOS 15.0 or later smartphone), and create J:COM personal ID. The customer is responsible for the communication environment (internet connection environment), communication costs, and the purchase of a router if there are not enough LAN ports.
Camera settings: [Resolution (live/recording)] 2 megapixels (maximum 1920 x 1080 full HD quality) [Frame rate] Maximum 30 frames per second [Recording method] Recording starts when motion is detected by the sensor (recording is saved including the time from the trigger time up to a few seconds ago) or by operating the app. *Recorded footage may be lost due to replacement or formatting of the recording media in response to a malfunction, etc. *Conditions such as the camera model, specifications, and available OS may change without notice.

Cooling-off period: 1. You may cancel the contract for this service by notifying us in writing or by electromagnetic record within 8 days from the date of installation work. 2. If the equipment has already been delivered to you, we will bear the costs required to terminate this service.
For customers who request it, we will separately send a document or electronic data containing the full text of the display based on the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.

[J:COM NET Hikari]

J:COM NET Hikari will be available to apartment complexes from December 7, 2023. Service speeds vary by area. The service area is gradually expanding. Available as either "J:COM NET Hikari on au Hikari (limited to detached houses, outside the Kansai area)" / "J:COM NET Hikari" / "J:COM NET Hikari (N)" (not available in some areas).
The displayed communication speed is the maximum speed according to the standard for wired connection. Communication speed may decrease depending on the usage environment and device used.

[About high-performance Wi-Fi]

To use it, you need to subscribe to a service specified by J:COM.
A device such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet that supports the IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac standard is required. Additionally, you will need to install the designated app, use a compatible device (Android 5.0 or higher or iOS 11.0 or higher), and create J:COM personal ID.
Due to the characteristics of in-house wiring (communication performance of LAN cables, routers, hubs, etc.) and wireless LAN, communication speed may be significantly limited or radio waves may not reach.
Depending on the contract course, the equipment to be installed and the number of installations may vary.
Some apartment complexes may not be able to provide this service. For details, please contact J:COM.
The monthly fee includes the monthly usage fee for a high-performance Wi-Fi modem or device (pod) [1G/5G/10G course] 220 yen (tax included) / [320M course] 770 yen (tax included).

[J:COM NET Hikari 10G/5G/1G course]

Wi-Fi standards are IEEE802.11b/g/n, 11a/n/ac (wave2).
"J:COM NET Hikari (N)" is NTT's optical fiber line.
If desired, either "WiMAX + 5G (Home Router)" or "WiMAX + 5G S (Home Router)" will be provided free of charge for up to three months until "J:COM NET Hikari (N)" is activated. From the fourth month onwards, 5,500 yen/month (6,050 yen (tax included)/month) will be charged. After "J:COM NET Hikari (N)" is activated, customers must apply to return "WiMAX + 5G"/"WiMAX + 5G S". If you only have a contract for "J:COM NET Hikari (N)", au Smart Value /NHK Group Lump Sum Payment will not apply. If you are applying for UQ mobile Home Set Discount, it may not apply if you switch to J:COM NET Hikari (N).
[J:COM NET Hikari (N) contract conditions] ① 2-year long-term contract (automatic renewal). ② If the above conditions are no longer met, a contract cancellation fee of 6,260 yen (6,886 yen (tax included)) for the "10G course" and 5,280 yen (5,808 yen (tax included)) for the "1G course" (single-family home) / 4,780 yen (5,258 yen (tax included)) for the "multi-family home". ③ Only one line per contract.

Wi-Fi standard is IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
"J J:COM PHONE Hikari (N)" will be provided only if J:COM PHONE Plus cannot be provided due to the installation status of the area or building. The wiring method is different from "J:COM PHONE Plus".
“J:COM NET Hikari 5G Course on au Hikari” and “J:COM NET Hikari 10G Course on au Hikari” are only available in some areas of Kanto.

The Wi-Fi standard is IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Draft (Wi-Fi certified).
