Applicants must be adults on the date of application. The named insured person is limited to the policyholder who lives in Japan, or a relative (within the second degree of kinship) or partner of the policyholder.
[Regarding the start of liability (compensation)] If you apply by the application deadline on the 20th of each month and are accepted by the underwriting company, compensation will start from midnight on the 1st day (starting date) of the month following the application deadline. What to do. However, if a different date is indicated as the start date on the application form, that date will be used.
[About insurance period and renewal] The insurance period is one year from the start date. If no request is made at least one month prior to the expiration date of the insurance period, the policy will be automatically renewed for one year with the renewal date being the day after the expiration date.
Applicable devices must be registered in advance. Limited to smartphones and tablets that have been released within five years and meet all of the following.・Items that are used only for the insured's household ・Items that are in full working order and have no external damage on the date of application or device registration ・Items that are not sold in Japan The product is a genuine manufacturer's product and displays the "Technical Conformity Mark."
The total amount of insurance claims to be paid during one insurance period is limited to the insurance amount, which is the sum of the repair cost insurance claim and the replacement cost insurance claim.
[Repair cost insurance money] (Reason for payment) When the covered equipment is damaged due to malfunction, water exposure, breakage, or theft, and the insured person bears the repair cost for restoration (Insurance amount paid) Damage to the covered equipment occurs. The amount of the cost of repairs or paid replacements necessary to restore the condition to its previous condition. Excludes shipping costs, administrative handling costs, etc.
[Replacement cost insurance money] (Payment grounds) If the covered equipment is damaged due to malfunction, water exposure, breakage, or theft, and the covered equipment cannot be repaired or replaced for a fee, the insured person bears the replacement cost ( (Insured amount paid) Amount of cost to reacquire the same model as the target equipment or one of equivalent type and capability. Excludes expenses incurred in attempting to repair the target equipment.
Even after liability (compensation) begins, there is a period (waiting period) during which insurance claims are not paid. *In addition, there may be cases where insurance claims cannot be paid or cases where compensation is not applicable. See terms and conditions for details.
