About fuel cost adjustment
What is the fuel cost adjustment amount?
This is an adjustment amount that adjusts your monthly electricity bill according to the import prices and market fluctuations of the crude oil, LNG, and coal used to generate electricity.
Specifically, the average fuel price is calculated from the three-month average fuel price calculated based on trade statistics released by the Ministry of Finance, and compared with the base fuel price set in the contract terms and conditions to automatically adjust electricity rates.
J:COM Power has introduced its own method of calculating fuel cost adjustment amounts starting from April 2023 (May meter reading).
For the Hokkaido area, the calculation formula is the same as that of Hokkaido Electric Power Co. However, there is no upper limit on the fuel cost adjustment amount.
For details, please refer to our terms and conditions (J:COM Electricity/ J:COM DENRYOKU Home Course Contract Terms and Conditions Appendix).
