About SIM unlock

To use the J:COM MOBILE SIM Card, customers using docomo/SoftBank line terminals (including iPhones) must unlock the SIM.

  • For au lines, VoLTE compatible terminals released after August 2017 do not require SIM unlocking and can be used as is. Before that, even models released by au require SIM unlocking.

About SIM lock

If you are using a docomo/SoftBank line terminal, it is "SIM locked" and you will not be able to use your J:COM MOBILE SIM Card as is. You will need to complete the SIM unlock procedure in advance.

In principle, SIM lock can be unlocked for models released after May 2015.
Docomo, au, and SoftBank may be able to unlock SIM locks on devices released earlier. For details, please see the homepage of each carrier.

Various locks such as network usage restrictions and Omakase Lock are not applied.

100 days have passed since the date of purchase in installments at a DOCOMO store.

Softbank

It must be a SIM unlock compatible terminal released after May 1, 2015.

The network usage restrictions must not be locked.

Services that restrict product functions, such as Secure Remote Lock, have been canceled.

The target product must not be damaged or wet.

If the line contract has been canceled, it must be within 90 days from the date of cancellation.
However, if you purchased the device by installment payment, it must be 101 days or more after the device purchase date.
