About discount

application Applications can be made if J:COM service and au mobile phone/tablet (hereinafter referred to as au terminal) subscriber have the same last name and address. If your family is over 50 years old, you can apply at a different address from the one you have subscribed to J:COM service. If you have a different surname or have 5 or more au terminals in total, you will need proof that you are a family member or living at the same address (if you have a different address and are over 50 years old, you will only need a family member's proof).
Discount applied
  • If the line for the applicable J:COM service is confirmed to be open by the end of the month following your application for this discount (for some services, after the application procedure has been completed), the discount will be applied from the charges made in the month following your application.
  • Discount from au terminal usage fee.
  • The two-year discount (2,200 yen/month, 1,551 yen/month, 1,027 yen/month) for au Smart Value Smart Value be applied for each eligible au mobile phone (including tablet), counting the first month as the first month, and will end with a maximum of 24 months of discounts. The discount amount will change from the third year onwards.
  • If the total amount eligible for discount is less than the discount amount, the discount will be capped at the total amount eligible for discount.
  • The discount amount is determined by the au device's fee plan and flat-rate data service as of the end of the month. If the conditions are not met as of the end of the month, the discount will not be applied.
  • If you cancel or suspend your au line, the discount will end in the same month that you complete the procedure.If you transfer/inherit your au line (excluding between family members), the discount will end in the month prior to the month that you complete the procedure.
  • The discount will also apply if you are currently using or in the process of purchasing the applicable J:COM service.
  • If you cancel, move, or change some of your J:COM services, the discount will end the month prior to the month of cancellation, relocation, or service change.
  • If the applicable J:COM service has not been activated six months after applying for this discount, the discount will be temporarily suspended and will resume after activation.
  • If the applicable J:COM service is cancelled for reasons on the company's side, the discount will be applied from the month following the cancellation until the third month. However, if the service is cancelled for reasons on the customer's side before activation, the discount will end with the usage fee for the month prior to the cancellation, and the discount amount up to that point will be added to the usage fee for the au mobile phone (including tablet) and billed.
  • This offer may not be valid in conjunction with other measures implemented by KDDI.
  • In addition to the separate cost of the device, separate universal service fees, telephone relay service fees, etc. are required.
  • KDDI will notify you in advance if there are any changes to the content of this discount.
