5G switching flow

We will guide customers who are currently subscribed to 5G switching.
To use 5G, it is necessary to confirm "5G contract / 5G compatible terminal / 5G communication area".

Step 1

Check your current plan

① Please check whether your current plan is "J:COM MOBILE A Plan (Voice + Data)" on My Page or the J:COM MOBILE app.

②If your current plan is not "A Plan ST", please change the plan below.

Check 5G communication service area

You can check if your area is a 5G communication service area from the au site below.

Check if your device supports 5G

In order to use 5G communication, it is necessary to have a 5G compatible terminal.
Please choose either.

  • Those with a SIM-only contract
  • Those who have a contract with a terminal and SIM together
  1. Please check if your smartphone supports 5G on each manufacturer's website.
  2. You can switch to 5G from the web.

Log in with J:COM Personal ID → Select "Smartphone" from the service menu → Click the 5G service application button to complete the procedure.

J:COM MOBILE also sells 5G compatible terminals.

Will there be any fees when changing to 5G service?

No fees will be charged for changing to 5G service.

Can I still use the SIM?

Yes, if you are a J:COM MOBILE subscriber and change your service to 5G, you can use the same SIM Card to use the 5G service.

Limited to J:COM MOBILE A plan (voice + data) subscribers.

5G communication requires a 5G terminal.

What should I do if I want to change to 5G service?

You can switch to 5G from My Page.
Log in with J:COM Personal ID → Select "Smartphone" from the service menu → Click the 5G service application button to complete the procedure.

How soon will I be able to use the 5G service after applying?

If you apply online, the switch will be performed sequentially from 9:00 a.m. two days after your application.
