high accuracy

Based on information from the Japan Meteorological Business Support Center, a dedicated terminal installed in the customer's home calculates and notifies the predicted seismic intensity and grace period.

Notification seismic intensity can be set

At the time of contract, you can choose the predicted seismic intensity to be notified on the dedicated terminal from seismic intensity 3 or 4.

Equipped with FM radio function ^*4

The dedicated terminal is equipped with an FM radio function. In the event of a disaster, it can be removed and carried as an FM radio.

Earthquake early warning

We will inform you of the earthquake early warning with flash and voice.

*The items provided may differ from the photos.

The grace time will be announced in units of 10 seconds, 10/20/30 seconds.
If the grace period is short, the announcement will be shortened, such as "(Sign sound) An earthquake with a seismic intensity of about ○ is coming soon."
If the predicted seismic intensity is 3 or 4 or higher, you will be notified by flash and voice. (You can choose at the time of contract)
Predicted seismic intensity and grace time are calculated for each area indicated by your postal code.
Deep-focused earthquakes (earthquakes with very deep epicenters) may have large prediction errors.

Mechanism of earthquake early warning

Seismic waves consist of P waves (primary tremors) and S waves (principal tremors), and the speed of propagation differs between P waves and S waves. Estimate the location of the epicenter and the magnitude of the earthquake from the P-waves that arrive first. You can prepare for an upcoming earthquake before the strong shaking S-waves arrive.

・Earthquake early warnings may not arrive in time if the epicenter is near. * There may be an error of about ±1 in the seismic intensity to be notified.

Disaster prevention administrative radio

It is safe because you can hear the disaster prevention administrative radio in the room.
We will inform you of local life / crime prevention information and disaster prevention information in the event of a large-scale disaster.

* It will be provided sequentially from the area where the contract related to the disaster prevention administrative radio has been concluded with the local government.
*Broadcast contents and expressions differ depending on the local government in which you live.

TV activation in the event of a disaster

Just connect the dedicated terminal to the TV. In the event of a disaster ^*, the TV will automatically turn on and notify you of disaster information.
*When local governments and the Meteorological Agency issue some evacuation information and weather warnings.

overview	If you sign up for the disaster prevention information service as a new or additional service, the monthly basic fee of 330 yen (tax included) will be 0 yen for 12 months, including the month of installation.
Target audience	Customers who have subscribed to the disaster prevention information service and have completed the installation work.
Apply	Applied once, only for one disaster prevention information service terminal.
Notes	After the discount period ends, the regular rate will automatically continue. May not be combined with other discounts offered by us. Please contact us for more information. If you sign up for the TV, NET, and PHONE services together, a contract administration fee of 3,000 yen (3,300 yen (tax included)) (2,800 yen (3,080 yen (tax included)) in the Kyushu and Shimonoseki areas) is required. Except for the application of discounts, construction costs, handling fees, initial costs, etc. are required for the use, cancellation, and service changes of each service. Discounts and gifts are subject to change without notice.

overview	If you subscribe to the disaster prevention information service as a new or additional service, the basic construction cost is 0 yen.
Target audience	Customers who have subscribed to the disaster prevention information service and have completed the installation work. New single-family homes may not be eligible.
Apply	Applied once, only for one disaster prevention information service terminal.
Basic construction cost	If no discount is applied, a new subscription costs 6,000 yen (6,600 yen (tax included)), and an additional service costs 5,000 yen (5,500 yen (tax included)) for non-subscribers. Basic construction costs may vary depending on the application method.
Notes	When adding TV, NET, or PHONE services, a separate construction fee and contract handling fee of 3,000 yen (3,300 yen (tax included)) (2,800 yen (3,080 yen (tax included) in the Kyushu/Shimonoseki area) is required. Separate construction costs/fees/initial costs may be required when changing plans/courses for each service, or when adding services that exceed the applicable number of units/lines. If J:COM PHONE service changes are required, a switching construction fee of 5,000 yen (5,500 yen (tax included)) may be required. Disaster Prevention Administrative Radio is a service in which J:COM uses terminals to retransmit disaster prevention administrative broadcasts provided by local governments to citizens. J:COM assumes no responsibility for the content of disaster prevention administrative broadcasts. Furthermore, the content of disaster prevention administrative radio broadcasts differs depending on the local government.

[Turn on TV during a disaster]

Disaster TV Activation is a service that activates or switches the display of the TV to display information when evacuation information or weather warnings are announced. J:COM is not responsible for the content of the TV activation during a disaster.
A TV that supports the HDMI interlocking function is required to start the TV and switch inputs. Depending on the specifications of the TV, it may not work properly.
Information on earthquake early warnings and disaster prevention administrative radio retransmissions is not displayed.

Consumption tax differences may occur due to changes in the consumption tax rounding method under the invoice system.
