About discount

application Applications can be made if J:COM service and au mobile phone/tablet (hereinafter referred to as au terminal) subscriber have the same last name and address. If your family is over 50 years old, you can apply at a different address from the one you have subscribed to J:COM service. If you have a different surname or have 5 or more au terminals in total, you will need proof that you are a family member or living at the same address (if you have a different address and are over 50 years old, you will only need a family member's proof).
Discount applied
  • If the line for the applicable J:COM service is confirmed to be open by the end of the month following the month in which you applied for this discount (for some services, after the application procedure is completed), the discount will be applied to the amount used in the month following the application.
  • Discount from au terminal usage fee.
  • When applying the discount for up to 2 years, the month in which the discount is applied for the first time is counted as the first month for each line of the target au terminal. Ends with a discount of up to 24 months.
  • If the total amount eligible for discount is less than the discount amount, the discount will be made up to the total amount eligible for discount. *The discount amount is determined by the rate plan and flat-rate data service of the au device subscribed at the end of the month. Months that do not meet the conditions at the end of the month will not be discounted.
  • If your au device is canceled, temporarily suspended, or transferred, the discount will end in the month of cancellation/suspension and the month preceding the month of transfer. If you wish to apply the discount again, you will need to reapply for this discount. *If you cancel your applicable J:COM service, move, or change some services, the discount will end in the month preceding the month of cancellation, move, or service change. In this case, it may be necessary to re-register for this discount. *If the applicable J:COM service is not activated after 6 months have passed after applying for this discount, the discount will be temporarily suspended and resumed once usage begins.
  • If the applicable J:COM service is canceled for customer reasons before the line is opened, the discount for the au device will end the month before the cancellation, and the discount amount up to that point will be added to the au device usage fee.
  • May not be combined with other measures implemented by KDDI. * Separate universal service charges and telephone relay service charges are required for each contract number.
  • KDDI will notify you in advance if there are any changes to the content of this discount.
  • For details on other au devices such as contract costs, please contact the KDDI contact point.
  • Not applicable for J:COM NET Hikari (N).
