About the handling of personal information

Our company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003), the Basic Policy on the Protection of Personal Information (approved by the Cabinet on April 2, 2004), and the Guidelines on the Protection of Personal Information of Broadcast Receivers ( We will comply with the 2020 Personal Information Protection Commission/Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Notification No. 1), laws and guidelines related to our business.
In addition, we will comply with the accredited organization guidelines regarding personal information protection in the field of broadcasting created by the accredited personal information protection organization (Broadcast Security Center Personal Information Protection Center) to which we are a member.
In addition, we will announce the handling of personal information that we acquire, use, and provide as well as the customer contact below. In the future, we may revise all or part of the personal information handling regulations posted below. If there are any changes, we will promptly announce them on our website.

1. What is Personal Information?

4. Provision of personal information to third parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases.

5. Consignment of handling of personal information

We may outsource the handling of personal information entrusted to us to JCOM Co., Ltd. or other affiliated companies for the purpose of business such as delivery and statistical processing.
We select contractors that meet the standards set by our company, conclude contracts on confidentiality, safety management, etc., and conduct appropriate supervision.

6. Content of Personal Information

Regarding the acquisition of personal information, in principle, we will do the minimum content necessary to provide services.
In addition, in the application forms for various services, if we acquire some optional items, we will indicate that they are optional items. For items with this notation, there is no impact on the scope and quality of the services provided even if they are left blank.

  4. After confirming the content of your request, we will process it properly without delay and, in principle, reply in writing (sealed letter).

  5. We may not be able to respond to requests for disclosure, etc. due to the provisions of laws and regulations. If we are unable to comply with your request, we will inform you of the reason.

(4) Fee

Regarding "1. Request for disclosure of personal data held by our company" in "7. (2) Content of request" above, we will charge a flat fee of 1,000 yen (1,100 yen including tax) per request as an administrative handling fee. Please note that we will attach instructions on payment methods together with the request form etc. that we send you when you make a disclosure request.

9. Retention period of personal information

  1. The retention period of subscriber personal information for satellite digital pay broadcasting service shall be within 7 years after contract termination.
  2. Of the personal information of broadcast receivers, etc., the retention period of personal information other than 1. shall be within 6 months after the end of the purpose of use, in principle. If a retention period exceeding this period is set, we will endeavor to announce or notify you.
  3. For the retention period of personal information other than 1.2. above, we will determine the shortest period based on the provisions of laws and regulations and our business needs.
  4. Once the retention period has expired, personal information will be completely deleted, shredded or dissolved.
