Contributing to society through partnerships

Providing an environment for home learning in cooperation with local governments

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, elementary and junior high schools have continued to be temporarily closed, and the challenge has been to accommodate families who do not have devices or internet access that can be used for home learning. Therefore, J:COM Kisarazu collaborated with Kisarazu City in June 2020 to cooperate in arranging Wi-Fi routers and tablet devices. All staff members worked together to set up the terminal communication environment and perform labeling so that the service could be provided as soon as possible.

As a result of these efforts, J:COM Kisarazu has concluded a ``cooperation agreement regarding the promotion of regional informatization using ICT'' with Kisarazu City. We are collaborating with each other to utilize ICT to address regional issues and support regional revitalization.

Holding smartphone classes in cooperation with elementary and junior high schools

We hold classes on how to use smartphones safely, mainly for elementary and junior high schools in the Kansai area. The Internet is a familiar part of children's daily lives, and we provide tips on how to use it safely, safely, and conveniently, such as how to interact with SNS and the importance of security.
We started this initiative in fiscal 2007 so that all people who use the Internet can use it as something that can bring them happiness and prosperity. (As of the end of November 2020)

J:COM will continue to engage in educational activities to improve information literacy for all people who use the Internet, including children.

Community-based social contribution

Holding a charity event to support children

J:COM Adachi has been holding a charity event called "Adachi Santa Walk" since 2017. Everyone wears Santa Claus costumes and enjoys walking around town, holding stamp rallies, searching for hidden characters, and exchanging "Merry Christmas!" with people passing by. The participation fee will be used for the Adachi Children's Diner, which invites children who have lost their parents or parents who are raising children alone to enjoy meals and games.
I want to create an opportunity for children, no matter what their circumstances, to feel the warmth of adults watching over them. This initiative began with this feeling in mind.

J:COM Adachi has been collaborating with local chambers of commerce, junior chambers, shopping districts, social welfare councils, universities, etc., organizing an event executive committee, and confronting the issue of child poverty. We will continue our activities so that the relay of warm feelings takes root.

Carrying out activities to watch over local children on their way home from school

In the Ogikubo area of Suginami Ward, we are conducting activities to watch over lower grade children as they leave school.
Ogikubo is a residential area with many families. Children attending school can often be seen around the office. The activity began when J:COM employees working at the Ogikubo base wondered, ``What can we do for the community?''
They chose roads that are difficult for police and other car patrols to see, and shared any information they found with the school. Regular patrols by adults help ensure the safety and security of the area.
J:COM will continue to carry out activities to contribute to the creation of safe communities.
