DE&I Promotion

J:COM Based on the value of "valuing all people," we respect diverse personalities and values, including gender, age, nationality, experience, skills, and lifestyles, and aim to create an environment in which all of our diverse human resources can fully demonstrate their abilities. We believe that by enabling diverse human resources to exercise their abilities, we can respond quickly and flexibly to a wide range of customer needs and changes in the environment, thereby achieving corporate growth and the happiness of individual employees. In recognition of these efforts, we have received the "Best Workplace" award, the highest recognition in the "D&I AWARD", for two consecutive years.

Promotion of women's success

We are implementing various measures with the aim of enabling women to fully utilize their capabilities and incorporate diverse perspectives into organizational decision-making to generate new innovation.
As a result of these evaluations, we have been awarded the "Platinum Kurumin" and "Elboshi (3rd level)" certifications.

Measures Against Unconscious Bias

We provide all employees with training on unconscious bias, which can be a factor that hinders the promotion and advancement of female employees.

Measures to Develop Female Employees and Increase Motivation for Managerial Positions

We are implementing various measures that will lead to career advancement and increase the desire of women to be promoted to management positions, such as formulating company-wide plans for the development of female employees and holding roundtable discussions among female employees.

Measures to Support Work-Life Balance and Improve work Comfort

We are implementing initiatives to alleviate concerns specific to women and make the workplace easier for them, such as seminars for employees returning from maternity leave and Femtech (*) events.

To encourage everyone to think about their own health and the health of those around them, we held a femtech awareness event called "J:COM meets Femtech!". A total of approximately 750 people participated, including events held at group companies. We have also launched a platform called "cotton" to promote the health of people working in the Kyushu area, and are working to continuously disseminate information and raise awareness.

We also proactively introduce case studies and raise awareness outside the company.

Support for men taking childcare leave

Aiming to create an environment where male employees can take childcare leave with peace of mind, we have implemented various measures, including childcare leave consultation sessions for men, aimed at reducing concerns about taking childcare leave and balancing work and childcare.

Promotion of Senior Activities

We will create opportunities for all applicants who meet certain requirements to continue to be active until the age of 65. In addition, before reaching retirement age, we are working to support the realization of a rich environment for both public and private life, such as providing opportunities and information to think about life plans for retirement.

Employment and Promotion of People with Disabilities

Based on the concept of "creating a workplace where anyone can thrive," we established a special subsidiary, J:COM Heart Co., Ltd., in June 2015 and are actively working to promote the employment and active participation of people with disabilities. We have created an environment and system that allows employees to work according to the characteristics of their disabilities and their physical condition, and provide a working environment in a variety of fields, from back office work to terminal device dismantling work.

LGBTQ

Aiming to create an environment where everyone can work with peace of mind, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, we are working to create a workplace where each individual can demonstrate their abilities, by promoting understanding of LGBTQ through training and information dissemination, setting up a consultation desk, and establishing a same-sex partnership system.We are also conducting awareness-raising activities by creating a handbook that lists LGBTQ-related practice examples and internal systems.
These efforts were recognized and we were awarded a Gold rating in the PRIDE Index 2025.

Promotion of Global Human Resources

In the rapidly changing broadcasting and telecommunications market, we are working to recruit and train foreign nationals and international students in order to incorporate diverse values and perspectives and increase our corporate value.

External Evaluation

Platinum Kurumin

In 2020, we received the "Platinum Kurumin Certification" from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, as a company that is making greater progress in supporting work-life balance among companies that are working on measures to support the development of the next generation.

Elboshi

In 2019, we received the highest third level of the "Eruboshi Certification" from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as a company with outstanding initiatives to promote women's participation in the workforce.

D&I Award 2025

We have received the highest recognition, "Best Workplace," for two consecutive years since 2024 in the "D&I AWARD," which is sponsored by JobRainbow Inc. and recognizes and honors companies that are committed to diversity and inclusion.

PRIDE index 2025

In 2025, the company was awarded "Gold" in the PRIDE Index established by the general incorporated association "work with Pride" in recognition of its participation in the LGBT-Ally Project and its efforts for sexual minorities, including LGBTQ+.

Nikkei Smart Work Management

In 2025, we were awarded a 3.5-star rating in the Nikkei Sustainability Comprehensive Survey: Smart Work Management, which selects leading companies that aim to create new innovations, improve productivity, and maximize corporate value by accelerating human resource utilization and investment.
It has been certified as 3 stars or higher for seven consecutive years since 2019.
